Thank you so much for considering a donation to NAPS. The support you provide by purchasing items from this list has a direct impact on the quality of life for the animals in our care & the volunteers caring for them. These items range from necessary pet & shelter maintenance supplies, to little extras that offer special moments for animals awaiting a second chance at happiness. Every little bit helps.
GIFT CARDS
Even though most of our animals needs are predictable, sometimes things come up suddenly & volunteers appreciate being able to run out and grab specific items as needed. Gift Cards are a great way to help out in this area! Re-gift ones you cant use, or pick one out just for us - either way, it really helps us out! Gift cards we can put to good use are:
Costco
Pet Valu
Walmart
Amazon
Staples
Ikea
PET FOOD
To help minimize tummy troubles and quickly identify any causes of illness, our shelter aims to keep our pet food choices consistent. We primarily use Royal Canin, but we understand that not all cats tolerate it well. We welcome donations of other food brands to support those sensitive tummies and to help build up supplies for our feral cat program. Any food we can’t use at the shelter will be passed along to other rescues in need or donated to the local food bank, supporting families who want to care for their pets while managing tight budgets.
FELINE NEEDS
NAPS takes in hundreds of felines each year in an effort to reduce stray & feral populations & assist with owner surrenders, TNR Programs, Barn Cat Programs & much more. Handling that many cats means the requirement of LOTS of supplies - many of which need frequent replacement. Check out the list below to see which items the shelter could most use to keep things running smoothly.
Paperwork, record keeping, marketing and administration are all an important part of running a non-profit society. We require some office supplies to make it work. Below is a list of items we would love to receive.

Dry ease markers
Whiteboards (small & large)
Tape (scotch type)
CLEANING SUPPLIES

This means we go through ALOT of cleaning supplies. Below is a list of items we frequently require.

Floor cleaner - Any brand (Pine-Sol, etc)
Large black garbage bags
Smaller white garbage bags

LINENS
Currently we do not require any linens. Any excess you have will be greatly appreciated at AARCS or the Wildlife Rehab Centre (both in Calgary).
