NAPS PET FOOD BANK
With dramatic economic changes amidst us, it can sometimes be difficult to maintain our previous quality of life. Often times, pets are the first to suffer when money is short. Fortunately, there are tons of groups dedicated to keeping Alberta's pets fed, and NAPS is excited to share that we now offer this service out of our office as well when supplies are available.
Food donations to NAPS occurs on occasion, and if the brands are not suited to the shelter needs, we transfer those donations to our Pet Food Bank. These donations vary from brand to brand, and are sometimes opened bags. If you have found yourself in the position to need cat or dog food for your pet, please check out NAPS open hours to see when a volunteer can get you set up with a donation, or email us at [email protected]
There is no strict limit to how often one family utilizes this service, however availability of food will be based on supply, and we cannot guarantee your preferred brand of food will be available at any given time.
If you are unable to get to the shelter for a pet food donation, please contact the Nanton Food Bank. They also take pet food donations from NAPS & others to distribute to needy families as required.

From time to time NAPS has pet food available for the community. We will advertise when we have some available.
To donate to the NAPS Pet Food Bank, please drop by during our open hours, or make a drop off appointment with a shelter volunteer by emailing us at [email protected]
We can accept any brand of kibble for either cat or dog. Opened bags of food are welcome if they are in their original packaging. Food donated in Ziplock bags or containers are not permitted and will be disposed of.
Make note, any canned dog or cat food, or food & treats falling under the preferred brands of the shelter will be kept and used for shelter animals. If you have these items and would prefer they go to a family in need rather than the shelter animals please contact the Nanton Food Bank to make your donation.
DO NOT leave food items outside the shelter doors unless you have arranged to do so with shelter management.
